The Shalom letter
Isn't this what we see almost everyday day? Yet I want to be like the girl receiving the mail in this picture.
Striving for peace is my life's goal. As a friend of the Holy Spirit, I'm guided by Psalm 34:15, which says, "Strive for peace with all your heart."
It's not very easy to find peace in a chaotic world filled with different sorts of noise. The din of bells, the noisy neighbour who awaits dawn to play loud music, traffic, hostile people, and at times... our thoughts. An inner voice criticising us.
what do we do with them? I at times feel like running away to a peaceful sanctuary, perhaps a cave, away from the noise, make a campfire, and watch the rain fall at the entrance to the cave and I stay there in silence. Watching. Finding solace in nature, at peace, at SHALOM.
This word is of Hebrew origin and it means peace, wholeness, a state of harmony. I know that it's not always possible to run to a cave when everywhere becomes noisy. So, I'm on a journey to discover ways to cultivate peace and joy in everyday life, even in the midst of noise and chaos.
I invite you to join me on this path towards Shalom - a peace that surpasses all understanding. In my letter, I'll share ideas and insights on how to live a calmer and quieter life. I anticipate your presence every Sunday, so we'll explore the journey to Peace and harmony together.
Shalom dear one.🕊️❤️
