I'm scared I'll fail, so I don't even try. What if it all flops and turns out to be a waste of time and resources? What if no one ever reads my writing or listens to my podcast?
I want to start a YouTube channel, but what should I talk about? Should I teach how to be healthy ? Or should I do makeup tutorials? I'll wait until I'm sure which one is best before I begin.
But our character never starts. She's too scared of trying - and sees "safety" as more important than possibly trying and succeeding.
No one can deny that weighing options before making a decision is wise and necessary. But the problem arises when we overanalyze, over imagine, and overcalculate -it prevents us from even trying things that could be productive and profitable.
I recently read a book by Ben Carson called Take the Risk. There’s a page where he made a list of several risks people take daily - even just stepping into the shower… Everything we do is filled with some level of risk.
We cannot see the future. That's why we are not God.
Sometimes clarity won’t come completely. But if you know you’re headed in the right direction, you won't regret taking action.
